In a case of what the heck? Square Enix and Luminous Productions just released Forspoken, which works on Steam Deck but it won't run on desktop Linux without spoofing it being a Steam Deck.

I feel like this was inevitable at some point. Developers are always so stubborn about supporting desktop Linux that, even if the Steam Deck is popular, it doesn't surprise me they'd throw a wrench into desktop support. I hope Ayaneo does well with their Linux-based handhelds so it'll make it harder for developers to just target gaming handhelds.

reminds me of those websites where they won’t work if you’re not using Chrome but they only check the useragent so if you spoof it in Firefox, everything works perfectly fine
