I think Specsavers use a custom distro on their computers

Two places. An Aerobus plane restarting it's entertainment system. Also a advertisement display rebooting in a supermarket. Both were Ubuntu.

Autozone uses Linux, from the look of it an older Debian, on their registers at some locations.
