As Discord forces in more adverts and paid customization towards becoming a public company the CEO and Co-Founder, Jason Citron, has announced they're stepping down as CEO.

Will be uninstalling Discord within a year I bet. I hate using it personally, but so many devs use it, it's annoying af.

the problem is afaik there is no alternative which provides:
- always on voice channels you can join (and peek at the current users)
- screenshare
- videocalls
- (federation, im looking at you revolt why dont you federate :/ )

I think the first 3 are instrumental to get people of discord
