Maybe telling millions of people who are only two or three missed paychecks away from homelessness that "the economy is doing great because look at the stock market" wasn't the sure-fire strategy that it first appeared to be.
what a self-pitying and naive interpretation that somehow deflects all blame away from the real unspoken problem and redirects it at one's usual target
They called for taxes on the wealthy and a couple of programs that kind of helped the working classes, but they should have made it the foundation of the campaign instead of just a little last minute mention.
