[Not a designer but] Since migrating to Mint I have found numerous links in Mastodon, the r/linuxmint subReddit and https://forums.linuxmint.com/ where you'll find the answers to similar requests.
To look for alternative to their software and see if the #Linux version is not capable enough to replace the windows one they were using (before they try to run it in a VM or dual boot). For instance Darktable is pretty capable facing Lightroom, Krita is very good for digital painting, Blender has become a standard in 3D etc

Anyway, firefox has a built in colour picker...super useful feature
