In news that might hopefully be good for Steam Deck and Desktop Linux players with Proton, both The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest are getting offline modes.

I understand that Ubisoft will release an offline mode when they'll stop to support these games...

they offer this to their more recent games now, instead of doing before. They know that the shutdown of the first The Crew game was a PR nightmare for them. They should also reverse course on taking the game from people's libraries and update the game one more time to also add this offline play feature in.

I always wanted to play this, but because it was online only on a game that did not need to be I never did. I also don't like buying a game that die off soon after then can't even have fun because it's online only and unplayable.
