I'm personally against removing legacy boot. People generally create VMs using legacy boot, so this could be a huge headache for many people if they have a lot of VMs (myself included). Legacy is still almost always the default on hypervisors like Proxmox or SUSE Harvester. Most people doing VMs are also probably using Leap, not Tumbleweed...
@opensuse please don't stop to provide old computer support with legacy boot. Because there are still many of their computers and laptops that still survive today including mine 🙏🏼😟
