Paradox Interactive announced today that Life by You from their studio Paradox Tectonic is now fully cancelled, after previously being delayed.

thats disappointing, I was hoping there would be at least a proper AA tier competitor to the Sims. There is a Paralives, it looks nice but since its indie made it will take at least two or three years before its finished.

I don't get why companies don't open source it (free publicity) or sell the IP (free.. money?).

Instead they just shitcan the whole thing and give everyone who was watching a giant middle finger.
