#TIL that, when using #NextCloud Desktop, unchecking the sync check box for a file or directory will permanently delete it.
And, no, it's not a bug. It's a feature. 🤡

in reply to Pixelcode 🇺🇦 • • •well, it's kind of a hard problem. If you would keep the folders, then users end up having folders in their sync folder that aren't actually being synced. This is just as much a potential for problems. Which solution is most 'sane' one can debate forever.
However, when a folder hasn't yet been synced, unchecking it should not cause data loss, that's something that should be fixed...
