Haven't had a need to try any other distro since switching to NixOS. All other distros seem inferior and their development honestly is looking more and more like a waste of time every day, lol.
I tried Fedora over a month ago, so I'm not sure if I count, but I love user-friendliness. Coming from Arch/EndeavourOS it was nice experience to have something that "just works". The way updates works with Discovery are also great.
Playing around with DSL for a very old SFF box. It has a 3.5" floppy and a parallel port for the ZIP drive. I use it to rescue files on floppies and zip disks and copy them to USB drives.
I've tried a few on Raspberry Pi 5 because the RpiOS is so quirky (if you're accustomed to normal Linux.) MX, Endeavour, Alma (IIRC.)
Likes: There are alternatives!
Dislikes: Most have issues that leave them unusable so far.
Other dislike: Difficulty with multi-boot. There is PINN but it also has limitations. I'm working in some scripts that provide this. Still have a lot to do. https://github.com/HankB/pmb
Been distro hopping a bit myself lately. Microsoft has made me reach a point that I'm just seriously scared Windows is about to become dangerous (like actually harmful to people.) It's becoming non-viable and I'm trying to switch to Linux as my main and even do some gaming on it. Unfortunately, there are definitely a lot of caveats and issues (especially gaming-wise.)
I found Manjaro to probably be my overall favorite, but in true Arch fashion I've had it become unbootable just by doing a system update. I really want more stability, so ultimately started messing around more with other options. Linux Mint ended up being my best option right now, but I have to use the previous version because of an AMD driver bug (seizure inducing ultra-fast flashing white bar on the screen.)
