Thank you for covering this and for your rant. Honestly though, I am really more baffled by the pseudo outrage from people when big tech companies do what they have always done. If you trust words like "free" (as in free beer) in combination with "secure" and "convenient", especially uttered by techbros, well... I'm sorry. Either you ignored all warnings and reports about data harvesting and misuse that happened in the last 20 odd years or you're just naive or want it that way.
