Cats. Imagine getting back up into the house and finding flowers and vase shard all over the floor and thinking why? Did the cats want to ruin you day... The cat can't explain that it made sense at the time, they just wanted to snack on some leaves, and the leaves happened to be connected to flowers and the flowers happened to be in a slender vase up on a shelf somewhere....

I guess we should get serious about growing oats (燕麦 えんばく？ ) in pots to rotate in and out of the house for them...
