Police brutality, intimate partner abuse
This is no surprise, though the level of difference in frequency is shocking. On a more positive note, it's great to see this article is in a magazine for parenting directed at dads: Fatherly magazine!

Violence can be learned and become a habit, and I think the "warrior cop" mindset that is the product of much police training must contribute. Changing training to produce a "public guardian" mindset might be possible, but it's not yet popular.

It would be interesting to see whether there is also a connection with steroid abuse, which is repeatedly reported.

We have, for many years, hired officers whose main characteristic is their ability to intimidate "bad guys". The gym I used to go to was full of cops who were so bulked up I suspected steroid use

What about other countries though? All countries have police brutality but everyone knows it's especially bad in the US, how much worse is it in the US? Also interested in Brazil as the police actually are way more violent there than even americans.
