I doubt LCDM cosmology will survive the james webb telescope. Whenever there is a more advanced telescope the age of the universe gets bigger and new unexplainable phenomena are solved by making up new mathematical descriptions and new particles and forces rather than attempting to find an underlying real and physical cause. The big mistake in modern physics is assuming that the math causes, rather than merely explains how the world works. Ideas like Bohmian Mechanics, the Polarizable vacuum, EU/Plasma cosmology, Brans Dicke relativity, Mach's principle, the classical physics of Wilhelm Eduard Weber and variable speed of light relativity deserve a second look and the price of being right is the chance that you are wrong, but this doesn't mean that these alternative ideas are true, just that they need a serious look.
