Unknown parent • • •Matrix does not encrypt all messages (including group messages) by default. Granted, I'm not the biggest supporter of Signal either, as you raise some good points. However, what I mentioned is likely the reason Henry disliked Matrix. (For the record, I think at this point the best way to message is XMPP because it is similarly decentralized, while not being run by a foundation that collaborates with law enforcement like Matrix)
Ultimately, it's best to be critical of any protocol or service and find the one that works out best for you.
