Denmark received a formal extradition request from Japan for Captain Paul Watson, a week after he was arrested by Danish Police upon his arrival in Greenland on July 21.

Denmark’s Ministry of Justice has full control over whether or not to comply with the extradition request. Their final decision is expected on August 15.
