Having a sustainable website is crucial to me: mine scores 100 on Ecograder.

I do care for the environment. Pointless data information that travels through the internet is not free, it has a carbon weight.

Every kilobyte saved correspond to an amount of CO2.

What do people achieve with that compulsion to add featured images that aren't theirs?

I've seen some tools before that claim to calculate environmental impact of websites but have really flawed results. Ecograder has a really helpful breakdown. Thank you for sharing this.
