I cannot express enough how sweet my cats are. They are gentle, kind, and affectionate. Not a hint of malice in their soul. And softer than any plushie.

I have a box of assorted band-aids, because you never know.

Maybe an accident, maybe they want it to look like an accident.

@beisbolcards If your cats are indoor cats (as they should be), it’s your responsibility to keep their claws trimmed. Long and sharp claws are difficult to control. Ours have not caused us any scratches since they were kittens and didn’t know how to control their claws.

This sounds like they have their claws to your neck and forcing you to post that. Lol

I wasn't sure if you were being ironic. Have you seen what happens to cat's eyes when you take a picture with a flash of light? Pure demonic. But your cat seems nice

My boy is a malicious little smoothbrained gremlin and I would die for him.

Hey I have a feeling I know where the name Jiji came from... Our cat is Kiki πŸ˜€

Happy for you. I have two shouty bossy britches and a sooky mummy's boy who gets the claws out if I don't give him the affection he says he deserves. I love them all.

@benroyce They have their own body language. Does your cat blink at you? Is their tail up when they’re around you? Do you find them in the same room as you often? These are all signs of trust and affection.
in reply to Eugen Rochko

after a standoff where they stare and i initiate the blinking, they relent and blink back

they also creep into the room, i hear a noise and turn, and they trot off when they lock eyes with me

we got our cat from the humane society as a rescue adoption, an older kitten. they were feral on the street

that might be why there is always an edge of aloofness

but they are loved and love being petted

I agree. My cat is very affectionate too. Last night she killed a young mouse, ate half of it and brought the rest to me as a gift. She's so cute, because she does this at least twice a week. Sometimes she even brings me a living mouse and sets it free in my kitchen, so that I can enjoy catching it myself. She likes to cripple it first, to make it easy for me. πŸ₯°

I see they are the most utterly ruthless apex predators… They have successfully gaslighted you into believing this
in reply to Eugen Rochko

No irony here, they really are that sweet and affectionate with us, and with each other. They're from the same litter so they've always been together, they like to fall asleep on my lap, sometimes at the same time. If they're trying to kill me, it is from cuteness overload.
