I don't think it bothers most people. Just as it is not embarrassing to be tracked in social networks, web browsers, etc. (I really "like" the argument of such people: "I don't care, because I have nothing to hide").
Dunno. I'm a hair's breadth away from considering abandoning the linux desktop experience on my work machine. It's been a long, long road. I passed the town where Torvalds got off and decided to stay many, many moons ago.
I mean, if a person really needs a Windows only program that doesn’t work well with Wine, then maybe I’d say use a Windows 11 VM.
But yeah, Windows 11 (the original release no less) is what turned me from a dual-boot Windows 10 and Linux user to a full-time Linux user.
Enough is enough with these ads, this is getting really ridiculous. We just need more Linux pre-installed laptops; fortunately, @slimbook FINALLY has a US ANSI keyboard option for the Fedora Slimbook.
Also, in related news: I'm replacing MailStore Server with Piler Muti-tenant, not because MailStore isn't an excellent product or is failing in any way, but because it runs on Windows and Piler let's me host on Linux.
Also, UPDATE: The MailStore server had completely died when I came in this morning and I can't even boot from the Windows install media. So now recovering by spinning up a new Windows VM to attach the hard drive to.
I recently bought an #Asus #Zephyrus G14, hoping to have one laptop for work, hobbies and light gaming (dual-boot). How disappointed I was to find that #Linux is almost unusable on this machine (fuck #Nvidia). I tried to adapt to #Windows because most of the software I need is available for Windows. But Windows is so disgusting, I don't understand how anyone can choose Windows. Linux desktop environments are simply superior to Windows (or #MacOS for that matter). Linux FTW.

I guess the backlash wasn't strong enough to really deter Microsoft from doing this, even though we saw it coming.

I have two others PC running Linux, though.
