I spend 2 hours at the gym, 6 days a week, and so end up burning through podcasts pretty quickly. I've recently completed the FoC, Array Cast and Type Theory Forall catalogues.

Any suggestions for other nerdy fun podcasts of the same style?

I am quite surprised you are a gym person, I wouldn't have guessed that

@liaizon it's a winter thing, I only have 2 weeks more to go before we cast off.

@jbauer ah yeah, okay. The latest CoRecursive seemed pretty.. dry. The latest Software Unscripted looks much more like my jam ^^

if every discipline had an Ivan and Jimmy to work through the history of influential papers, the world would be a better place.

@jbauer the one called lisp in space from CoRecursive is pretty great. A nice reminder on how code made today often is way less impressive and interesting than the experiments from the 70s/80s.

I enjoyed almost every episode of https://corecursive.com
The first (oldest) episodes of https://www.internethistorypodcast.com were entertaining, too

@rsms I listened to one from corecursive this morning from the classics section. It was great. I'll go through them, got any favorites?

the only one that immediately comes to mind is the interview with @awesomekling

But generally, I get excited whenever there’s a new cocursive episode. It “scores higher” than other shows I’m subscribed to. NPR Short Wave is another show where I’ve w joyed almost every ep. Usually listen to one over lunch while looking out a window.

this is very new so only one episode so far (on #gleam), but it was very good! https://pod.link/developer-voices

thanks for these! Future of Coding looks right up my alley.

I don't listen to that many coding podcasts but something else I've really been enjoying is the Many Minds podcast, about all kinds of thinking: human, animal, computer... https://disi.org/manyminds/

muse's podcast has some really good interviews in their backlog 😀

you might have already seen this but this one Oxide and Friends recording about hardware “bringup” and the difficulty of supplying power to and cooling a large, fussy chip was a fun and wild ride through half a dozen specialities… read the show notes for the vaguest idea then jump in for the ride share.transistor.fm/s/4fd8383d
