I don't like being right but don't tell me I didn't warn you this would happen. I'm more surprised that it's taken this long for YouTube to start experimenting with blocking ad block

My only concern is, that YouTube might terminate my Google account if I use ad blockers. Is that a possible thing?

@10volt If it's done correctly there will be nothing behind the pop up so if you block it you get a broken page

@mabs Advertising isn't a perfect system but it's by far the best system anyone has come up with for free content. Crypto mining didn't play out too well

UBlock Origin is FOSS I haven't seen this yet but these blockers will be updated to defeat YouTube especially as the site is so popular.

I just changed my location to Turkey with a VPN and now I pay £1 a month to have no ads.
