How do we practice democracy in everyday life?

@ntnsndr talking with @Rushkoff on #TeamHumanShow about this and more on the launch of his new book, #GovernableSpaces just made my day. I’m getting a few copies for our local library and high school.

Nathan raises great questions and draws exciting connections between on and offline practices and the way technology expresses and facilitates them (or doesn't). Totally relevant to our little experiment in democratic life here in Social.coop.

"homeplaces" and being human in an inhuman society

this podcast also helps me understand Nathan's interest in blockchain; diasporas as models of networked identity and political location vs nation states and danger of startups as networked private power

@Matt_Noyes Thank you so much for this, Matt. It means a lot to see how you were hearing the conversation!

Also, Rushkoff's observations are often hilariously apt, like the one about smoking weed behind the 7-11 as an example of a homeplace created in the shadow of an exploitative institution...

@Matt_Noyes Yes, he is so good at putting these questions into the context of actual life:)
