Last rant: When fed up with GNOME on this Fedora machine I just said f-it and installed Cinammon. Except their Cinnamon installer is broken insofar as the "Layouts" panel on the Keyboard settings is blank because it's missing a bunch of modules. Don't understand it. #linux

You should try Solus if you like a desktop paradigm like Cinnamon, Budgie was designed from scratch while Cinnamon born to fix Gnome 3...

@Daniel I have experimented with Solus and use it weekly as part of the weekly rolling release study (but very limited). I did find Budgie to be a nice environment. I'm running these on Apple Silicon under virtualization so need ARM64 which I don't think they support. Neither does my go-to Linux, Mint (Yeah I'm a non-newbie that really likes Mint).
