@monster The goal is to highlight apps that meet the guidlines, I don't think a single app on Flathub meets them

yeah. Pretty sure that's a disservice to the community, though.
in reply to chris

There is no community, it's just a bunch of people that happen to like one thing also don't take my social media garbage posts as serious this platform is just as serious as twitter

I've looked at the yt comments that all.
It certainly not nice to flathub to misrepresent their mostly reasonable guidelines because "engagement".
Also others here have already criticized your almost dog whistle over a leftist philosopher (that you controversially compare to Hitler or Trump). It surely radicalize your audience.
in reply to chris

@CriticalSinking I don't agree that it's a dogwhistle, I'm being consistent. I don't think you should include controversial political figures in official documentation regardless of where they are on the political spectrum.
in reply to Brodie Robertson

it is controversial to you and your conservative audience, for sure. Your extreme political comparisons show you're not neutral and definitely on the political spectrum. Even if you don't intend it that way, your viewers will notice anyway.
in reply to chris

@CriticalSinking I think comparing an extreme left wing figure with an extreme right wing figure makes me by definition neutral. My audience is made up of people, I don't know or care what how they align politically because I talk about Linux not politics
in reply to Brodie Robertson

you're comparing a philosopher/economist that never had power to a genocider, it's never gonna be neutral. Makes you look you don't know who marx is. The political controversy at flathub is quite mild comparing to what you resort to, but hey you do what you want.
in reply to chris

@CriticalSinking That's fine, you're allowed to think what you want, it doesn't change that I'm being being consistent and neutral

the only one I think should be absolutely mandatory is screenshots and the rest are closer to suggestions.

I love when I find a project like "a revolutionary new photo editor with a next gen interface" and there's no screenshot. If a repo does that I just assume it's some POS or outright malware.
