in reply to Brodie Robertson • • •Honestly, stable distros are best only used in servers. If for whatever reason you want stable core packages in the desktop, use distrobox for the everything else (including GUI).
Or better yet, use a normal desktop distribution as host and create a distrobox for the random stable packages you need.
If you need rock solid stability, then install silver blue or something like it. Then you can easily roll back broken systems and reset containers if they break.
