Living in deer tick country in the US, am happy to see this Lyme vaccine go into Phase III trial! Hopefully will participate. https://www.aamc.org/news-insights/lyme-disease-rise-why-there-still-no-vaccine

Got my first of 3 Phase III jabs. Saline or vaccine, I'll never know. But glad to be participating in this 2 year trial. #lymedisease #lyme #vaccines

I saw the Quiet Epidemic recently, while the narrative was a little hard to follow I think it did do a good job about rousing some emotions and representing undeserved lyme patients. I wish it more more concise in weaving in climate change and capitalism as mechanisms for the problems in healthcare.

@danwchan Will take a look at it. Thanks. And then of course there are all the other tick-borne diseases. Seems like a new one emerges every year here in the eastern US.

I don't know if its worth your time to watch it. Maybe it would be nice to watch with some folks who are less aware of lyme. The filmmakers intend for it to serve as a lightning rod for continued activism around pushing for policy change to address lyme and I think that's great. So mostly I saw an opportunity to spread the word a little via your toot. Perhaps you will get all you need from reading this review:

(and if that entices you then give it watch 😛 )

@danwchan Thank you that is a really good review (I think, but since I haven't seen the film.) Around here I cannot imagine anyone who isn't familiar with Lyme! What is interesting (I had considered for a moment, writing a book about tick-borne diseases not just Lyme) was that it isn't just US, Europe too has an apparently growing Lyme problem (the vax is French I think.) https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s00436-022-07445-3
