Still have my C=64, still works, still play on it the odd time. Not bad for a 35 year old machine.

Sounds like a fascinating book! You should sell it at The National Museum of Computing at Bletchley Park, where you can see some of these in the flesh (or plastic?)

BBC Micro is such an elegant machine… the Rolls Royce of home computers, I think one reviewer put it at the time. Super-flexible I/O machine with excellent OS and BASIC. So nice to see the spirit live on in the Pi, after the Windoze era of the 90s and 00s.
