A lot of this can be also be saved in its configuration. I wish it was a bit easier to even know how to do this really. (It would help if it created a generic configuration with remarked lines and etc.) You can also set values for syntax highlighting. I found a nice git collection for a bunch of those: https://github.com/scopatz/nanorc/
