I think Ctrl+w is faster, but that's just my preference.

I figured this one out by accident long ago and had sort of always been afraid it was just a bug or unintentional so was afraid to keep using it, but of course it's not, lol.

Have you heard of Alt+backspace ? Basically by hitting Esc you are triggering Alt (or Emacs lingo "meta"):

> You can also type Meta characters using two-character sequences starting with ESC. Thus, you can enter M-a by typing ESC a.

[1]So you Esc and then backspace is a workaround for Alt+backspace, plus Alt is much more reachable.

is there a way to use Ctrl+Backspace like in GUI apps? Not really a vim fan

or use :

% set -o vi

and enjoy #vim keybindings ! 😀
