thank you so much for making all the optimizations that made it possible for the game to run silky smooth.

@rek This game broke my brain when I played it on iOS back in the day. Its nice to have it in my hands to be able to experience the confusion all over again. Great work.

reminds me of Swevos World, Head over Heals etc.
But your graphics are a step up.

Is it a game or a film?

in reply to Workshopshed

@Workshopshed It's a game 😀 We've only discovered Head Over Heels after working on it but we've both since fell in love with its look!

Any idea why this would happen on the itch.io version? I was trying to upload to a Playdate via the simulator, but it won't start in the simuilator itself...
in reply to Renaud Bédard

Oh damn, I had this issue at one time. The pdx file on itch should work on both the simulator and the device.

Let me double check, you did get the 71mb Playdate file, right?

Oh geez, I think it's just macOS shenanigans. It interpreted the .pdx folder as a file. On Windows it seems happier!
in reply to Devine Lu Linvega

Currently uploading to the device at the speed of a handful of turtles, will report back
in reply to Renaud Bédard

@renaudbedard aaah! excellent. What does it looks like on mac? Do you think if I zipped a folder with the zipped pdx file in it, that would be better?
in reply to Devine Lu Linvega

Actually I'm seeing now that it's a "package", so it is a directory with a funky icon and I can expand it. The latest Playdate simulator still isn't happy with it, not sure why... maybe a chmod thing? Is one of these files supposed to be executable?
in reply to Renaud Bédard

@renaudbedard I honestly don't know, for me on linux, I feed that thing to the simulator and it lets me upload it to the device.
in reply to Devine Lu Linvega

alright well, no idea why it's unhappy on my old intel macbook, maybe I'm doing a weird manipulation too
