We've completed the frame for our super-low heavy-duty bimini, we're calling it the roll-cage.

If you roll on it, something will have gone seriously wrong 😂

@klardotsh I can sit and have 2-3 inches over my head. Obviously I can't stand under it ^^

@yngmar good idea! Once we're done with canvasing, we'll if we can bolt some down.

definitely not, I'm pretty sure you can bend a long stainless pipe by hand. It's a robust suncover, it's a flimsy at-best rollcage. We just called it that because it's way too beefy to only hold a bit of sunbrella.

@kor that's why I ask 😀
Did you bolt through the deck with a backing plate at least?
in reply to nomand

@nomand @kor we considered it, but decided against it in the end, we might if it gets loose, or we feel like it lets water in. Otherwise I think it'd be a bit overkill, you should see the size of the screws that our friend gave us to match the feet of the stanchions. If that rips off, we have bigger problems than the sun hitting our head.
