Inspired by @sandofsky, I now have a new camera I’m very excited to try out.

A lovely camera. I shot thousands of rolls of Tri-X on an AE-1 and, before that, FX. Paid for my first car and college tuition by covering high school 🏀.

I still have one in the closet but haven't shot film in years.

I have that exact camera, my parents bought it on their honeymoon, which I attended, in utero 😂

My first "real" camera ... way back in October of 1979! Kind of sad I sold it years ago, tbh.

Nice one! Personally, as a long time nikonian, I'd go for #Nikon F2, though. Or F4.

This AE 1 is a very good camera, I love to take pictures with it! Have fun!

I purchased one of those in college. It served me very well. Enjoy!

I’ll have a new camera to try soon also, when the iPhone 15 arrives 🙂

@Gargron, hope yours is fully functional🤞🏼Both of my cameras stutter at faster shutter speeds, sadly. Take lovely photos otherwise.

P.S. If you find a good service that can revive them here in Germany, kindly share.

I had one of those! Never got proficient at taking photos with it, but I did like the camera very much. ☺️

looks like my old olympus om 10. 10X times better then a digital 😀

That is also my daily 35mm shooter. Welcome to the AE-1P club.

👆 But, but, my mobile has a camera in it now; why'd I need another doohickey to carry? Plus my mobile weighs the same as one SLR *lens* and I don't have an elephant or donkeys...
