@gabboman That's the perfect example of a "vote with your wallet" case. Don't get the game pass or anything on the Windows Store if you want to support Linux gaming at all.
Yeah, Xbox ads popped up on my mom's laptop recently. Fixed by removing the "Xbox" component that came with W11, wtf. Something else to remove by default
@eragon @mixaill my much older posts were followers only, as they were posted automatically and the Mastodon Social admins sent out a complaint email warning me and others posting them as public
But for a good while all my posts have been manual and public, not followers only.
I apologize, I incorrectly assumed that you understood my original reply to mean "try, troubleshoot, and successfully run."
Simply trying and failing does not get you banned, but I don't think there's an explicit warning about troubleshooting and successfully getting the game running causing a ban.
Happy to see I'm not the only one, happened to me as well ! Does anyone have a good way to run Fusion 360 on Linux so I can finally let go of my Windows partition ?
Yeah I had the same thing happen the other day. Popped up, lost control of my mouse, almost died. Great times. Good plan MS, really pushes me to invest in the MS ecosystem of bullshit.

This will make it easier for your posts to be found across fediverse.

At this point we should call it a DerangedSoft Windows, because they are clearly deranged if they think that abusing their customers like that is fine
How do I wish Linux didn't suck so we all could finally break this abusive relationship...

in reply to Wilhelm • • •@Wbud no, they wonโt. Why do people still spread that?
The only people they banned were people who worked around their anti-cheat, which was a big well obviously and happened quite a long time ago.
They just donโt let Linux users in by default itโs blocked, no bans.

"Players who are not accessing Destiny 2 through Windows and attempt to bypass the SteamOS/Proton incompatibility will be met with a game ban."
