I'm loving hearing this! Steam Deck has proven that using Linux for gaming is viable. It's been a huge win for the community.

@jonathan You're thinking of GPD

Shit, right you are! Time to test out the toot edit functionality. On the upside, I wouldn't feel so bad buying an Aya Neo now 😅

I feel like the steamdeck broke the ice to allow more linux-based consoles, without just slapping windows on them. All the work #Valve and wine contrubutors put into #Proton just paved the way.

And now, we can have coherent, polished, and more put together custom consoles (with working games for them) other than the xbox and playstation.

Curious if they'll stick with this long term or make the switch to SteamOS after it releases. I can see their thinking with it now, they want to offer tight integrated control over their units for performance, UI, TDP, etc. But that's a big investment for a small outfit who just sells devices, unlike Valve who will be committed to constantly updating and improving Holo, foreseeably for devices beyond the Steam Deck, eventually.

I’m more concerned about its support like future updates/patches after its release and how well the customer service is from China.
