How did we reach a stage where a company can just disregard and disrespect contractual obligations after an acquisition or merger? How did we reach a stage where such an unethical, if not outright abusive treatment of customers by a corporation became acceptable? Who is responsible for such deplorable degradation of consumer rights?

#AltText : Man (Broadcom) sets bricks (VMware products) in a puddle so woman (VMware Users) can walk across without getting wet, but then walks away with brick leaving her on a brick in the middle of the puddle.

This is pretty accurate except it's pretty much VMWare at first and then it actually changes to a different person in the middle.
