#Mac Safari users: have you found a way to turn off auto-play videos that actually works? I've set the Safari preference to never allow auto-play, yet there are plenty of sites that still manage to play videos when I visit their pages. Has anyone found a way that really works to stop auto-play videos?

I'm using Ventura, in case it matters.

Several layers of ad-blockers help somewhat. How about a list of offenders?

@AlanSill Well, I'm already running Adblock Plus. I guess I could look for more. Are there ones in particular for Safari that you find effective?

Re list of offenders: do you mean to ask to provide an example list of web pages where I'm seeing it happen? Wired.com and caranddriver.com are two that come to mind.

1Blocker combined with AdBlockPlus seems to stop autoplaying videos, along with my Safari settings which are like yours... at least in a quick test.
