!Friendica Support on what is the state of #xmpp in friendica? pirati.ca The database version is 1587/1587, the post update version is 1550/1550 does have the add-on.

When enabled "toggle chat" is shown in the bottom right. But only sometimes and then it's gone again. Tried to login with username@pirati.ca + pw but that fails. So now I am wondering which password would be expected? The xmpp address was pre-filled.

Last I checked, Friendica doesn't implement an XMPP server. The addon merely adds an XMPP client to the site. That's what the description implies, anyway... I've never tried it.
