What's going on with the hole in the ozone layer?

Thanks to a global effort to regulate ozone-depleting substances, the ozone hole is showing signs of recovery and is projected to return to a healthy level by mid-century. https://www.nasa.gov/esnt/2022/ozone-hole-continues-shrinking-in-2022-nasa-and-noaa-scientists-say

so what you're saying is the time from implemented measures (mid to late 80's) to healing of the ozone layer will be approx 100 years. A century.

Now do climate change. Ya know, for those in the back.

Ozone is the second most reactive oxidizer in existence, behind only fluorine. Fluorine is so reactive that it will react with noble gasses.
Ozone is one step behind fluorine.

Remind me why people think they can do anything to make ozone not react with anything else in the atmosphere.

Neat. Just in time for self-sufficient human habitation of Antartica.

Nice.

Just on time for humans to finally cop on to the fact that we have killed ourselves with our carbon excesses.

in reply to NASA

We could have done that with CO2, if we had wanted to.
