GamesIndustry.biz recently spoke to Ubisoft, and something said during the interview seems to have created some sparks across the industry about game ownership.Liam Dawe (GamingOnLinux)

They already buy their console games in app stores. In two years when the store shuts down because the new gen is out, the game is gone.
They have long accepted online only single player games. When the server shuts down the game is gone.
And if they play 99 indie games and once in a while a single big name game, even though they spend more time fixing and complaining about Windows than they do playing, they will never install Linux because that one game they rarely play only runs on Windows.

Mmmm, maybe....So it's about feeling comfortable handing truck loads of your money over to Ubisoft.
There, fixed it for them.

I'm already sick and tired of video and music streaming services. I don't want to add games to the mix.
