Had a little watch party for Night Watch (2004), and my DVD copy saved us – YouTube wouldn't even let us project it (via AirPlay or HDMI)!
Had to do USB DVD drive -> HDMI... and during all this, we got to watch the classic xtreem anti-piracy clip a few times 😆 Whatta vibe.

Night Watch is incredible – a Russian flick with parallels to X-Men and the Matrix, though less glamorous; it's grimy and visceral, clever, and very morally curious. The ancient forces of Light & Dark really feel like they live in the real world, and it's gorgeous too: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_Watch_(2004_film)
My favorite bit on this watch: a centuries-old guy in a city office, doodling marginalia like a monk.
