My name's Bernard. I live in #Dublin #Ireland with my wife and 2 kids. I'm originally from #donegal and spent a few years in #cavan in my teens.

I work in #SRE

I started mastodon.ie in 2019 and had a couple of instances before that. I also run a #funkwhale instance at https://playitfaster.com

Beyond tech, I love music. Mostly #punk with some #folk (I played guitar for #belfast band Runnin' Riot for a bit) #mastodaoine

ah Running Riot — brilliant music. We actually played support to ye at a gig in Sligo many years back (2004-ish). Nice to read the intro and credit to you for maintaining a great instance.

I was in Excuses. I left in 2006 so you and I never overlapped, although we're talking about doing a couple of reunion gigs perhaps, for the fun of it.

@ephemeral haha, we've almost definitely met! 13 and Jasper are up in Donegal now, right? Who else was in em when you were? I'd still see Gaz, Alex and Mark from The Derelicts a fair bit.

Might have. I was on bass in the original line-up, with Wes on drums.

Yes, the lads are both in Donegal. Derelicts lads took over when me and Wes left. Good fun, great music too. Tell the Derelicts lads I say hi.
