in reply to Eugen Rochko • • •Okay, so I'm on mastodon (duh), but I didn't know some poeple (Doctorow) consider Threads, Bsky, & ... even Trothe Cential [sic] to be Mastodon servers? I guess they do serve the API, just not enough or in a way to satisfy a lot of people?
(But of course in the case of Trothe Cential [sic], statistically no fediverse would ever have it unblocked.)

in reply to Eugen Rochko • • •Yeah, and I've never heard anybody consider Threads or Bluesky as Mastodon servers. Opinions differ as to whether they should be considered part of the fediverse, but they don't have anything to do with Mastodon.
(Trothe Cential [sic] on the other hand does run code that was forked from Mastodon a whjile ago.)
