These two are a Chabo (Houdini) and a hen (I'm guessing) from an egg from birds hatched from supermarket eggs labeled Miyazaki JiDokKo..They sleep up in the cinnamon tree somewhere.. Or the brown hen does I'm pretty sure. She started out on a branch where I could see her, but when I started taking her down to place in a safer (I'm hoping) cage she started moving farther away.. The Chabo used to sleep on the cement block wall marking the boundary with a neighbor. But after a couple placements in a safer (I hope) cage for the night he found another place (other places?) to sleep too.. I found him once on a low cinnamon tree branch, but after another transfer I guess he's up higher and deeper in the tree like the hen.. It would be nice to develop a line of birds that can make it on their own in an orchard somehwere, just show up when I can to socialize and collect eggs or whatever without needing the twice-daily cage openings and closings...
