Similar surveillance technologies may already soon become mandatory actually, if the #ChatControl legislation is passed in the EU.

There is also an official question by member of the European Parliament @echo_pbreyer about how game developers would be affected by ChatControl (answer still pending): europarl.europa.eu/doceo/docum…

I fully share your recommendation to use Linux instead of Windows. But ChatControl and #ClientSideScanning are a danger for all software users.
