If you're a developer / tinkerer who wants to try out #immutable #postmarketOS, I made a wiki page to hopefully get you started!

wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Dur…

Come help test, debug, and fix issues! It'll be fun!

(note: currently only building images for limited x86_64 and aarch64 laptops)

I'm super-excited that the #LinuxOnMobile stand will be returning to #FOSDEM in 2026!

Last year we had an amazing experience meeting fellow enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

This year we plan to have even more phones, devices and distros for you to play with.

We're not the only FOSS/mobile stand and with any luck we'll be close together like last year.

Was hoping to see a AArch64 build for the native #Linux version, as well as for the #flatpak on #Flathub. Currently, the only easy way to connect to the #TOR network on #LinuxMobile is using #BraveBrowser or #Carburetor.

Cell broadcast is working flawlessly with the latest ModemManager with #Phosh on #postmarketOS!

Must add: I was hoping to achieve all this on a #postmarketOS device. I have pmOS running on a Samsung A3, but was never able to get the modem to work for it to connect to cellular.

Did a hard pivot to this Android setup, and enjoyed the process, but I did so because I could not figure out how complex it would be to get pmOS on this newer Samsung A40.

One issue I did run into was that the newer Samsung was networked locked. I had to apply to Three.ie (cellular provider) to get the device unlocked.

(In retrospect, chances are that this was also happening on the older Samung A3, but tried another sim card from another provider and was not able to get a data connection.)

I've been eagerly awaiting this #postmarketos capability. Re-installing every time a new release comes out has been dreadful.

> While #Phosh is clearly the most popular UI across the board, it came as a genuine surprise to me how popular #SXMO and SWMO are in general and on #postmarketOS more specifically. I didn’t expect such a complex and unorthodox UI to gather such a following in a relatively short period of time. But to be clear, I think this is great. We also shouldn’t overlook that a sizable portion of respondents is indifferent to which UI they use as long as the experience is solid.
