Two years ago, I had just dropped off the #MarsHelicopter for its wild dream of a tech demo: flying on Mars. Now it has just notched its 50th flight. Talk about Ingenuity!

Designed as a technology demonstration that would fly five times, NASA’s Ingenuity #MarsHelicopter has completed its 50th flight – and lately it's been negotiating some of the most hazardous terrain it’s encountered on the Red Planet. go.nasa.gov/4130o46

Ingenuity perseveres.

Our #MarsHelicopter just flew its 50th flight on the Red Planet (out of a planned five), nearly two years after it first took to the Martian skies. This demo is giving a glimpse of the future of powered flight on other worlds. mars.nasa.gov/ingenuity

Space potato? πŸ₯”

Thanks to observations from Hubble and the Keck Observatory, astronomers were able to generate a 3D model of the galaxy M87.

This short video uses the Our Galaxy app to show where the Intergalactic Wanderer (NGC 2419) is located our galaxy.

It first displays all the known globular clusters and then hones in on the Intergalactic Wanderer. As you can see, this globular cluster is much further way from the galactic center than most others. It is only loosely gravitationally bound to the Galaxy.

We all see the universe a bit differently.
@NASAHubble's ultra deep field took 11+ days and revealed ~10,000 galaxies. @NASAWebb imaged the same area in 20+ hours and its resolution helps us understand how and when those galaxies developed. go.nasa.gov/3zPIBl5

True, we do all see the world differently; approximately 8.5 billion different and unique perspectives. And yet, we’re all experiencing the same thing: all here on the same one planet, all hurtling around in the same one solar system, and all of us bound to the same laws of thermodynamics.

It's #InternationalDayOfHumanSpaceflight.
