In 4 days we could be seeing a PM every 8 hours until they are coming 4 minutes

I've watched the first ten minutes of this and it is excellent. I am putting this here to remind me watch the whole video tonight...after I've had my water tanks serviced (NOT a euphemism hehe)!

Tonight’s dinner. An experiment that much worked. It’s a caramelised onion and blue brie tart.

@Khurram Wadee Quite so! I just happened to be studying Finnish in order to take one of my plays to the Helsinki Midsummer Festival. I have also studied Danish (like Swedish) and French. Finnish grammar in comparison feels very much like Godzilla!
in reply to Muse

The grammar of Indian languages is also simpler but not as simple as Chinese.

Hmm, are ultra compact point and shoots actually small enough now that it would be feasible to carry one in a pocket?

I remember my firs nicon digital camera 2MP - never seen such a good quality after that - nostalgia. Lost in during friends wedding

This is a terrible idea. As examples of terrible ideas let me point out things like introducing rabbits and cane toads in Australia. This makes it look like Washington DC is doing something, without having to take the actions that will genuinely avert the worst of the Climate Crisis. In this way the oil companies aren't threatened.

In trying to look "balanced" this article makes it look reasonable to wait five years for technology that doesn't yet fully exist, and may be deeply damaging in its own right.

@Muse I agree! However, at this point I believe that as a faltering civilization we (US-ians) need to work to keep the people we have before they move to another country with better opportunities.

Has anyone else been watching Dwight in Shining Armor? I stumbled upon it on IVIEW and am hooked. It kind of reminds me of the old Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

Like many shows you have to not mind that the first episode or two is a little awkward, and then it picks up speed!

What's most interesting here is that unlike a dog or cat who would just bite/chew/play with them the orangutan knows exactly what to do with them...puts them on...looks through them...removes them to compare...puts them back...sits, looks...

Reminds me of Jake. Jake visited us several times. Once he hung out at our front door, and I mean "right at" our front door, as in "sleeping on the doormat". The local University Puma project had been tracking Jake, so they told us that Jake weighed in at about 160lbs - he wasn't full grown yet.

Women on Long COVID and Medical Misogyny.

In June, Dr Massimo Galli, a well-known infectious diseases specialist in Italy, disclosed that since contracting Covid in January, he had experienced widespread muscle pain and “a fair amount of fatigue that I did not have before”.

The interview, headlined My Long Battle With Long Covid, contained a mea culpa: Galli confessed that he had initially doubted the condition. “With due embarrassment,” he admitted to having believed many long Covid symptoms – including brain fog and cardiovascular issues – to be psychosomatic phenomena. “Now that I’m myself affected, I have to reconsider some of my beliefs,” Galli said.

One of Italy’s best-known Covid experts had, in other words, failed to give credence to the experiences of long Covid patients until he himself became one.
