MIDI Stomping Pads
This MIDI controller uses a Circuit Playground Express and CircuitPython to send MIDI notes. The interface is made with 3D printed squares and copper sticker sheets that press together with springs.Liz Clark (Adafruit)

I have NBN Satellite, and therefore can get my mobile working over wifi-calling, but if I hadn't had the satellite connected, and we had a medical emergency, we'd be screwed (there's no mobile service here).
grrrr...
BTW, this is why our ADSL connection is dead.
If you're in an NBN Satellite area, it doesn't replace landlines, but they don't have a plan beyond 2032.
I've heard some emergency services have gone over to digital radios on frequencies that are easily absorbed by foliage... like you might find when conducting a rescue, or fighting fires in rural areas...
Today I’m experimenting with dinner. My rice cooker has a “Stew” setting, so I’ve done a small Mexican beef and bean dish which I’ll make in to burritos later.
Says it will take 4 hours, guess we’ll see at about 6pm if i have food or disaster.
It is very simple.
1 onion (chopped)
1-2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 can (400g) of black beans
1 can (400g) of Tomatoes
400g of rump steak, sliced thin
1 tspn of Mexican Chilli Powder*
Put in rice cooker/slow cooker for 4 hours.
Thicken with 1.5 dessertspoons of cornflour dissolved in just enough water.
* Mexican Chilli Powder:
3 tspns cumin seeds, roasted and ground
3 Tblspns ground chilli powder
1.5 Tblspns ground paprika
1 tspn oregano, dried
1 tspn salt
Mix & store in airtight box.
