#TIL (not really, I knew about it for some time) about Kaktovik numerals <en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaktovik…>, and I like their graphicality and ease of arithmetics.

@neauoire it reminds me of the intersection-based multiplication example on your wiki article about paper computing. Any chance you'd be interested in Kaktovik numerals?

Onion in recipes should be by weight not number, as they vary by size considerably. Tonight's dish requires "6 onions" which is anything from 300g to nearly 2.5kg. Based on what we had in our fridge, that is.

name a musical album you listen to, more or less, once every day. Strict ruleset. You REALLY listen to it every day, unless life intervenes, as it is wont to do

The closest I can give you is Casualties of Cool, which since last year I've started putting on before bed to calm me down, although it is by no means meant to be used that way as it is a very good album in its own right.

That "linkedIn Speak” translation option on Kagi is quite good and funny

so, there's those like. magnet implants right? for being able to detect magnetic fields n shit

is there any reason those have to be Implanted? like. could you just wear a magnet ring for prolonged periods and get the same effect?

in reply to Devine Lu Linvega

@neauoire huh! I mean, you could prolly use a bigger magnet externally than you could internally to get stronger feedback

do you have thoughts on the implants? I keep hearing conflicting opinions

in reply to ليلى النحلة

don't get them, it's fun while they're there, but it's not worth the cost.

After 5-6 years, I had to remove them(myself) with a knife because the gel wrapper around them broke, they always do.
