I've done some videography work for groups at Mayo Clinic before and they have a gigantic library for physicians there that is just beautiful.

(pic not mine, but that's it)

Yes, I did once, as an undergraduate, a long time ago

I’m so sorry for anyone that had to do actual office work there. Can’t be ergonomic.

But if it’s a library or a place to have som good food and a beer, have at it.

Looks gorgeous. But not necessarily comfortable. Is there a recliner and place to put my glass of wine? 🍷
in reply to Eugen Rochko

Looks like a great place to do some deadlifts. Oh, you didn't say "work out here"?

John Rylands do a behind-the-scenes tour as well; I got to do that long ago - it's a nice building!
Welcome to #manchester !

Would be my safe sanctuary. Would NEVER EVER leave that place.

And the toilets are sensational - although you will definitely find the two separate taps

Damn that’s a nice little library space.

There is a public library with similar vibes around here, I need to go pop my laptop open in it more often.

I've been there a number of times, incredible building. I saw a magic lantern show there once.

Honestly, though, it's too dark, the chair is hard, the table is too low, there's a distracting side light glare, the whole room is cold, damp and drafty, and you're constantly dodging tourists "ooh"ing and "aah"ing your place of work.

Been there, done that. Give me a functional 80's office building any time.

The Trinity College Library in Dublin, Ireland is a work to behold.
in reply to Eugen Rochko

I know, librarians already have the dream job, now it gets even dreamier!! :owi:
in reply to Eugen Rochko

I mean it's fun and all to fantasize but those chairs look uncomfortable as hell and whomever has to work there probably doesn't enjoy it that much.

I once got to study at a library something like that, the Berenson library at I Tatti in Florence. It was so beautiful that I found it a little difficult to concentrate.

What a nice office to have, free from people's crowded mind. And when you go out after awhile to take a look around you know you don't miss much, human social activities are easy to catch up. 😅🤪😂
